We had a great week in Michigan during our Spring Break trip last week. It was so good to see many of you. We really like driving and riding in our new van. It was comfortable for me with my large pregnant belly, and I could easily reach food, drinks and toys. Once again, God provided beautiful weather and safe travels. We had fun staying with Mom and Dad Klynstra in their newly renovated upstairs. Brendan is an early riser, and enjoyed his mornings with Grandpa and Grandma. Grant is coming out of his shell and showed off how well he is learning to talk. Spencer and I went for a walk many nights after the kids were in bed, which is something we are never able to do normally. We were also able to spend a whole day together without kids, shopping for a double stroller and car seat, buying wedding outfits for the boys, catching a moving and eating out at Logan's for dinner. The boys had lots of fun with Mom and Dad Terpstra for the day. We also swam at the Aquatic Center with my sisters and their families. Brendan had a great time in the water, but Grant was not about to let go of me or Spencer and play. He just isn't used to swimming, especially where it's loud and there are lots of other kids. I was able to get away to see my girlfriends, which is always a good time. We also visited with lots of family throughout the week. On our last morning in Michigan I was able to go to Marci's wedding shower, and I had a lot of fun making the cake for it.
It's so good to know that we only have to drive that long distance one more time, and then it will be one way, and we will be able to stay in Michigan. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to friends here in Florida, but we're also looking forward to moving back "home".
I didn't pull out my camera at all during the week until the shower. So I'm sorry to say I don't have many pictures to share with you. Actually, the only ones I have are of the shower cake.
