The Fair

We had a fun afternoon at the fair that's in town for the week. Brendan got to ride lots of rides thanks to a kind lady who gave us her extra tickets. I forgot the coupon that would have allowed us to buy an armband at a discounted price, so we paid the same price for a bunch of tickets, but that didn't buy too many rides. Just as we were running out of tickets, the kind woman gave us a bunch of extras. Just 2 years ago, the only ride Brendan would do was the carousel, and then he would only ride on the bench. Yesterday, he wanted to try everything. Our little boy is growing up. Of course, we also enjoyed some junk food. I was dissappointed that none of the booths had elephant ears, so I got a very yummy strawberry shortcake instead. Brendan and Spencer wanted ice cream, so we stopped at an ice cream store on the way home.

Grant liked the bunnies, chickens and roosters the best.

It was so fun to watch Brendan on each ride. He even thanked us for taking him to the fair after he was done with all the rides. That makes it all worth it.

3 More Months

I'm now 27 weeks, which seems hard to believe. The time is going by so fast. In just 3 months we'll have another new baby! I'm feeling pretty good. My only complaint is that I'm not sleeping well. I just see that as the Lord's way of preparing me for when the baby comes. I had a doctor appointment today, and he said everything looks good. I will have to go in for my glucose test sometime this week - yuck! Last time I failed it and had to go in for the 3 hour test, so I'm hoping I pass this time.

A Beautiful Saturday!

On Friday night the weather man said that this would be one of the most beautiful weekends of the year, so we decided that we needed to make the most of it. After nap time on Saturday we drove out to St. Augustine and had a peanutbutter and jelly picnic at the beach and let the kids play in the sand. We didn't do any swimming, but Brendan almost did as he got just as wet. Good thing I thought ahead and put an extra pair of shorts in the car. Grant was content to just play in the sand, moving it from one cup to another and taking a little taste here and there. It was a beautiful evening and such fun to watch the boys having a good time.

The boys are standing in our backyard by the path that goes through the woods. The azaleas are in full bloom along that path, and it's so beautiful.

The Computer

I've been tagged by my friend, Dayna, to show all of you what our computer work space looks like... as it is. I seriously considered just ignoring this tag because I am not proud of how cluttered the room is. We have to put our computer in our bedroom because of lack of space in the rest of the house. This doesn't exactly provide a romantic setting, but we're willing to deal with it for a while. We're thankful we at least have a large bedroom so there is a place for the computer. It also helps to keep little Grant's curious hands away, as this is not the room where he spends most of his time. (I'm glad I made the bed this morning:).
