Spencer's Birthday

Spencer's birthday was on Thursday, and we had a fun evening with the kids. First, we went out for a fancy dinner at Taco Bell, and then drove out to Gainesville to get Spencer's free ice cream at Cold Stone. I tried the dark chocolate mint ice cream with oreos mixed in, and it was some of the best ice cream I've ever had - YUM! Spencer had his tried and true chocolate with peanut butter cups, which is always good. It was fun to see all the excitement in downtown Gainesville, as there were lots of students out and many standing in line at different bars and restaurants to watch the game. During our long drive we all listened to one of Brendan's new Life at the Pond story CD's, which was very funny and entertaining. After we came home, Spencer was able to watch the Florida Gators win the national championship and eat some birthday cake that I made for him.
