Jenna is almost a full week old already. It's been a week full of fun, new experiences, adjustment, and time together as a family. Spencer has been off work, and he's been a huge help with the kids and chores around the house. He's actually doing dishes as I write this. Jenna has been a very good baby, sleeping almost all the time. When she is awake, she's usually just taking everything in, and Brendan is usually trying to entertain her or talk to her. The other night she slept 6 1/2 hours without waking up. Last night she didn't go quite that long, but she was able to do a couple 4 hour stretches. It's a lot of work to have a baby in the house again, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I could just sit and watch her sleep for hours. I love it when she takes naps on me in the afternoon, and I don't even mind waking up in the middle of the night to feed her.
Brendan woke up before all of us the other morning. He was so proud to show us how he had set up blankets and toys and diaper supplies for Jenna all over the living room. Here, he is entertaining her with some of the toys and books.
